I keep mixing up the tricuspid and mitral valves - any tricks?

Every time there’s a question about which valve is on which side of the heart, I guess wrong. Is there a trick to remember tricuspid vs mitral?

Try “tRIcuspid on the RIght”: the tricuspid valve, with three flaps, sits between the right atrium and right ventricle. The mitral valve, also called the bicuspid because it has two flaps, guards the left side between the left atrium and left ventricle. Another way to remember the order is “try before you buy”: blood passes the tricuspid before it reaches the bicuspid.

A mnemonic a lot of students use: "LAMB and RAT". LAMB = Left Atrioventricular valve = Mitral (Bicuspid). RAT = Right Atrioventricular valve = Tricuspid. So mitral is always left, tricuspid is always right.
